Metadata Manager
My work was centered on two metadata initiatives involving Informatica Metadata Manager and MEGA Enterprise Architecture Repository.

Sole developer for Metadata Management(MM) on the CLP project(Comprehensive Loan Program). All aspects of Informatica Metadata Manager and its integration with OBIEE and MEGA Enterprise Architecture repository. Detailed knowledge of loan origination and the FISERV system. Worked with Informix, IBM VSAM, DB2, Oracle, and SQL Server. Use of VBA and Perl in support of building a dictionary of terms and standard abbreviations. Custom mappings and other advanced features have been implemented by me.

Integrated MM with the enterprise repository with added SKOS semantic capabilities similar to the repository (Adaptive Solutions) used at the DC home office.

Another project aimed to offer a taxonomy web service/SPARQL endpoint of reference data for servicing offices, headquarters and other RD locations.

Mainly worked in the Corporate Reference Data group, the last year being sole developer and support. The objective of CRD is “to serve as a service to A-B applications requiring read-only access to information commonly used throughout the organization.” Data management duties included resolving data problems, from user back to source designing systems in league with data modeler and DBA. CRD was source and target for much of the direct Data Warehousing effort, esp the use of master data.

I also was loaned out to work as the lead developer on the Mobility project (XML – DataStage based application to communicate with distributors), Supply-Chain (to prototype an Electronic Commerce app), and backup for the EDW support team.

Six years work in both mainframe and Unix environments using 3 types of ETL tools. As major developer for IP’s initial Oracle-based data warehouse, maintain and provide on-call support. Utilized multiple ETL tools in both mainframe and Unix environments. Scripted extensively for Unix Unifying load processes to allow one point of maintenance. Review and
documentation of the orders and invoices business processes.


Developed, programmed and tested the only usable ETL process at IP for BW hierarchy flat files. Transferred 150 000 Dun & Bradstreet entries into a loadable format. Process has been used for Hyperion financial system also, for financial accounts hierarchy. Prior to this process, customers were unable to load sizable hierarchies originating outside of R/3.
